S.H.E’s New Album Boycotted by Fans Criticizing Rehashing Old Ideas
Ella Angrily Said Do Not Buy
[2008.09.08 China Times]
It was rare that Ella from S.H.E would lash out at fans online. It was because fans who heatedly discussed their new album’s decision to include [Sweet Sour], the Mainland China advertising jingle they sang with Fahrenheit, directly criticized the inclusion of an old song as being insincere. There were even fans who wanted to boycott purchase against this album. Ella saw the postings of the fans and felt that the fans made their conclusion based on only what they saw on the surface. She was so upset that she used such heavy words as [It would be OK if you don’t buy]. However this emotional posting had been deleted.
Ella Upset Over Creativity Being Belittled
The fans of S.H.E posted on the HIM website that S.H.E and Fahrenheit had collaborated too many times already and this was yet another collaboration, therefore extremely lacking in freshness and would consider boycotting the new album. That night when Ella returned home from filming a MV and went online to read postings from the fans, she felt very sad. Therefore she replied online indicating that [Sweet Sour] was the advertising jingle for a product that the two groups endorsed together in Mainland China. Furthermore, the harmonization of this song was her idea which gave her a sense of accomplishment. It never occurred to her that the fans would reject it before even hearing the whole song. That was like rejecting the hard work they had put in for the new album. That was why she was so upset and posted the words [If you don’t like this album, then you don’t have to buy it. It is OK.]
HIM Said that Duet Is Bonus Track
HIM also indicated that there are a total of 11 new songs in S.H.E’s new album and [Sweet Sour] is just a bonus track that was added in. HIM also emphasized that S.H.E was painstakingly diligent in preparing for this new album and hoped that the fans can appreciate the hard works of the trio. Furthermore S.H.E had always been very fond of their fans. Each time when a new album was released, they would persuade the company to refrain from releasing different editions because they did not want the fans to spend too much money.
Enhanced on Paper Watermelon-sized Breasts Very Outstanding
Although there was noise of fans boycott but S.H.E remained true to themselves. In the first release song [Miss Universe], their small breasts ballooned into watermelon-size boobs using special effects, even their legs were lengthened by two inches to create the incredibly proportional good figure of [slim waist, big chest and firm butts]. Although the effect on the pictures was amazing but it was all [big boobs on paper] only.
S.H.E broke out into giggles after seeing the enhanced pictures and exclaimed that with big breasts, the sense of distance was also greater and was a heavy burden when dancing. Natural beauty would still be preferable. Later they even boasted that they were naturally born with good proportions and that everything was all real and so they have no fear of being compared to anybody.
